Am beginning to panic a little. No shortage of things to panic about …. intercontinental solo travel, driving an hour and more out of JFK airport on CT (while jet-lagged, even), how my presentations will be received, driving through NYC on my way to the Newark airport, hooking up with Rudder in SeaTac, going on a complicated 4-stop trip the day after a regatta after what happened to me on last summer’s complicated regatta trip….

There are all sorts of reasons why none of these will be horrible, ranging from “done it before” (solo travel and presentations) to “plenty of time to recover” (a day off before presenting, time to relax in OR) to “enough time to deal with any problems” (in Seattle airport). Still, I really, really wish I hadn’t suggested the business stop before the vacation part of this trip.
