It turns out that if you use a vibrating implement (such as a leaf-blower for two hours straight, your arms will not be of much use to you for the rest of the evening.

I wish we were getting as much usage of our house in Oregon as they are. This is pure envy, though, not jealousy; I’m delighted that they seem to be enjoying it, somebody should and also for us that means someone to check up on it regularly and make sure it’s safe and that the gutters aren’t clogged – and even to blow the leaves around. (We did not ask them to do any of that, though admittedly we did ask them to be there this weekend because the window shades were being installed.) I’m thinking maybe we need to do a little sprucing up in the guest room where they stay, since that seems to be the room that gets the most use.
