and yet more moving tasks…

Hey,my husband’s been away for a month. I have to talk to someone.

I’m feeling a bit better about my vehicles. My neighbor had hasked us to tell him if we ever wanted to sell the pickup, so I did. He’s decided not to buy it because his wife can’t drive stick, but he brought a friend over who wants it. He offered a bit below Blue Book value, but the trucks got a few issues like vibrating when I brake, and at over 100k miles, the clutch has gotten pretty loose. It’s paid off, so I can afford to take whatever I want for it.

And on the theory that I had nothing to lose, I called the guy who was seriously interested in my little car, but who hadn’tcalled for a coupl eof weeks. Apparently he’d had trouble with his other car, so wouldn’t have been able to get up here. He’s still interested, especially when I lowered the price (to below its official value, but several hundred above what I owe. At this point, getting out of the car without owing money and in time is far more important to me than getting top dollar. I’ve got another possibility as well, an acquaintance of a coworker.

Phew. I feel so much better with prospects. Rudder’s truck may still be a problem, though. I just don’t think anyone’s buying Hummers right now, with gas being so expensive. Anyone rich enough not to mind that is probably rich enough to get a new one. What we need is someone with a serious need to haul people and cargo, because it really is great for that.

Catching up, it’s been nutty. Good nutty, but nutty nonetheless. After shoving furniture are you sure you really NEED to erg? That’s cool about your new place having a bit of space for work-out equipment, I’ve heard European living spaces are tiny compared to what we’re used to. Hope noise won’t be a factor. They are relatively quiet machines, yes? Whew. I hope I have time to breathe tomorrow. Much love, Ms Busypants

    Great relief on the truck!

Hope you can sell the other vehicles!
