Yesterday before going off to the dentist I accidentally spilled some water on the floor. It didn’t seem like all that much, and it was only water, so I didn’t mop it up. Two fillings and a good dinner later (this dentist seems to handle anesthesia expertly) I came home and walked into the dining room, forgetting about the spilled water. That marble floor is really, really slippery when wet. Injury count: two fillings (one I can feel when I bite down on it – might have to get that fixed), an abrasion on the inside of my elbow, and a chunk of skin ripped from my big toe. I really hate when sloth brings its own punishment.
Also, I try to be good about tasting the foods they serve in the cafeteria here, but I draw the line at pig ear.
