This morning I was not thrilled to find that my scale claimed I had gained two kilos since Sunday. (My weight does fluctuate up to one kilo day to day, but two seems like an awful lot of water weight!) This put me at my highest weight ever. I was even less thrilled to notice that my shirt was tight across the chest, which would be no big deal in a Taiwanese shirt but this is one I bought in the Netherlands – the day I have bigger tits than an average Dutch woman is the day I begin to suspect estrogen in the water supply. And my skirt, previously very loose, wasn’t.
Fortunately I have realized that the shirt is actually tight across the shoulders and upper chest, which isn’t so alarming since my current training schedule has added two days of lifting instead of all-erg / all the time. And my skirt wasn’t loose only because I’d already tied the drawstrong. Whew.
As long as everything else is OK (and I don’t have any lightweight races in my near future), the weight can go worry about itself.
I was going to say it sounded more like good training weight than any kind of sloth or gluttony on your part, so I’m glad you came to the same conclusion.
The jewelry you’ve been posting is fantastic! And inspiring, I dug out some of the pretty stones and beads I thread onto some skinny hoop earrings and my ear threads and have been having big fun coming up with new combos. Thanks! ~LA
