back to nursery lunches

OK, no, it’s not all muscle and not really even mostly muscle. Saturday featured some depressing moments involving trying on shorts in size L (tight in the waist) and XL (fine in the waist and hips, tight in the thighs. Apparently even XL women here are expected to have twig legs). Fortunately after that a package arrived from the US and the size 6 skirt and dress fit just fine. (Yes, I know it’s vanity sizing. I’ll take it.) So on the theory that the main things that are different about my food / exercise / metabolim here are lunch in the cafeteria and a couple years of age, and I can’t do much about the latter, I have brought PB J, and bread to work for lunch this week. I’m curious to see if it makes a difference, though it will probably take at least a month to tell, especially as this week features expected monthly weight loss and next week features resort food. At least I’ll have a lunch that consistently tastes good (enough).
