Fits perfectly, yay! (I would have been even happier, if Knitting Daily hadn’t published a link to an absolutely brilliant video of Eunny Jang showing how to prepare a zipper so it could be knitted in, about 2 days after I sewed this one in.)
The first Frankensock, so called because it’s assembled of bits and pieces: a stitch pattern adapted from the Nutkin sock pattern, a heel from another, a gusset I made up myself, and a picot hem (not hemmed yet in this pic):
