Just when you think you’re doing really well, the universe throws more challenges at you.
I’ve been easing back into working, but I think I’ve mostly passed the ‘easing’ point. I lifted Saturday (lighter on some arm stuff so I wasn’t sore for rowing, full weights on the deadlift), rowed Sunday (only 7.5 km because I only had the boat for an hour, but with more pressure than I’ve been doing) and today I biked to and from work for the first time since October. Unfortunately then I got all lightheaded and loopy after having a homemade chocolate-covered cream puff (yum!) someone brought to a 9AM meeting to celebrate her birthday, so I ended up skipping lunch because I wasn’t up for food yet by then. The ride home went OK but I was crashing by the end of the errands I had to do after that.
Then tonight I went to T-Mobile, because they told me I could get my iPhone unlocked after a year. The woman at the store said I had to call the helpline to do that. So I did, and was all proud because I actually navigated through the Dutch automated answering system and pushed the right buttons instead of hitting random ones until I got a person. My reward for that: she has to email me the procedure – and it’s all in Dutch. Sigh. Google Translate is my very good friend.
