Or rather, since a really good girl would be studying Dutch now, ik ben een goed meisje. I’m on my own tonight since Rudder has a work dinner. (Ik ben alleen want Rudder hebt een maal voor work … maybe I should try making these entries bilingual, but I suspect the foregoing isn’t quite right.) We skipped working out this morning for no real reason. (Well, there was one. We didn’t go right back to sleep – and in the grand scheme of life some things are more important than exercise, I think.) So this evening after work and before dinner I erged a 10K. And not the easy steady state stuff I’ve been doing but good hard interval pieces, 1km on and 2 km off (the extra bit was 1km to warm up).
Of course, I’ll be regretting this in the morning when it’s time to go lift large pieces of metal. Also, I’ll probaly be speaking fluent Dutch long before I ever learn to write English without parenthetical insertions every other sentence (or every third one).
Yes, some things are more important than erging 😉 and I enjoy your parenthetical insertions – it’s nice to know I’m not the only one!
