Possessed (of a new book)

Am about to begin reading The Unfolding of Language, by Guy Deutscher. Good thing it was recommended by someone whose opinion I trust, because there’s a blurb from A.S. Byatt on the back. I’m trying to remind myself that just because she hates some books I love, doesn’t mean the reverse is always true (though I think it has been in a few cases). I didn’t hate the one book of hers I’ve read, but I haven’t had an urge to reread it, either, which is rare for me. It was one I saw go into storage with no pangs.
