Here is the mitred-squares blanket I made for a pregnant friend, while blocking. The white showing through is from the towel it’s sitting on; maybe I should have used a smaller needle.
The white showing through is from the towel it’s sitting on; maybe I should have used a smaller needle. Here it is again, with its recipient (well, the actual recipient is hiding behind the blanket; she’s got another month or so to bake. Her mom is graciously holding it for her.
And here is the first of the ‘vog on socks I started after completing the blanket. I don’t think I’ve perfected the art of photogaphing knitted objects; it looks much better in person (more like the photo in the pattern). I really like the Eye of Partridge heel, once I finally figured a foolproof way to tell what pattern row I was supposed to be on (by looking at whether the row would finish with an odd or even number of stitches left).
